Coming to a new church is much like going to a new school for the first day. You may not know anyone, you are in a new building that you are unfamiliar with, and there is always insecurities about being someplace new. At Valley Chapel, we understand that there may be some anxieties associated with coming to a new church, so we try to make it easy for you. There's no need for you to feel like you'll be singled out, but you will meet plenty of friendly new faces, people willing to point you in the right direction, invite you to sit with them, and make you feel like you've been here for years.
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. All classes are in the downstairs portion of our church. We have two adult classes, and one is taught in Spanish. Our children (ages 3-18) enjoy age specific classes that are designed to help them understand God's Word on their level.
Starting at 10:30 a.m., we meet in the Sanctuary. We are a church that enjoys worshiping God, and during the first part of our service, we take time to lift Him up in a meaningful way with contemporary worship music, as well as some traditional.
After worship, we turn to the Word of God. This is a time when I hope to bring a practical, meaningful, and inspiring message to our church. The message is accompanied by a powerpoint outline to make it easy for listeners to follow and understand God's truths. Our objective is to apply God's Word to our everyday lives.
Our children, ages 5-12, are dismissed during the Sunday message so they can attend their own children's church service: Kidz Praise and Worship. It's a time of singing, learning, crafts, and fun as they investigate God's Word and learn some sound Biblical teachings in a way that kids find interesting.
During our Sunday morning service we also have child care downstairs in our nursery. This is for children from birth to 4 years old. Even in nursery, our dedicated teachers take the time to go over Bible stories, sing, and play with our children, so they too have a meaningful experience at our church.
Lastly, don't forget about our Wednesday night services beginning at 7 p.m. Adults meet in the sanctuary, and girls meet for M-Pact Girl's Clubs downstairs. On Friday nights from 7-10 p.m., our teens, ages 12-18, meet for "The Program", our youth ministry. It's at this time that they get a chance to socialize over a cold soda, or even playing ping pong or foosball. Even more important, their service involves a youth led worship service, and a relevant message for the day and age they live in.
